Begging Does Not Work

International oil prices are set by supply and demand. OPEC controls enough of the market that they can increases prices by reducing supply. The president is looking for options to OPEC’s recent announced intent to reduce production. The 2 realistic options that come to mind that might work, are begging which was tried and didn’t see to work and the option to support increasing domestic production and supply which might just work.
