Calling North Korea an ally is “deft diplomacy”

Kamala went to the DMZ in Korea and announced to the world, “The United States shares a very important relationship which is an alliance with the Republic of North Korea.”

Good gravy. The Biden regime has lost its Seoul. Both Bloomberg and Reuters nevertheless praised Kamala.

Bloomberg said, “Kamala Harris Under a Microscope: Deft Asia Diplomacy Despite DMZ Gaffe.”

The story began, “Kamala Harris’s whirlwind tour of Japan and South Korea this week amounts to a microcosm for the state of her vice presidency: an ambitious, historic and increasingly confident effort still beset by the occasional high-profile gaffe.”

Historic?

Trump not only went to the DMZ, he went into it and shook hands with Kim Jong Un in an effort to bring peace to the Korean peninsula.

Kamala was just stopping over after attending a memorial in Japan for Shinzo Abe. Attending funerals is routine for vice presidents.

Bloomberg did not mention Trump. Neither did Reuters. In fact, it didn’t mention Kamala calling North Korea an ally.

Instead Reuters reported, “U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris said North Korea is a country with a brutal dictatorship, an illegal arms program and rampant human rights violations, issuing unusually strong criticism during a visit to the inter-Korean border on Thursday.”

Ignoring the monumental blunder, Reuters quoted her as saying, “In the North, we see a brutal dictatorship, rampant human rights violations and an unlawful weapons program that threatens peace and stability.

“The United States and the world seek a stable and peaceful Korean peninsula where the DPRK is no longer a threat.”

Words, not actions. Trump actually met with Kim and tried to end his nuke program.

But reporters prefer words to actions.

In its glowing tribute to Kamala. Bloomberg said, “In Japan, Harris stood alongside other world leaders at the state funeral for Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister whose assassination at a campaign event rattled a key American ally.

“She delivered a carefully calibrated denunciation of China from the deck of a US warship intended to reassure allies — without deepening a rift with Beijing that President Joe Biden has widened with explicit pledges to defend Taiwan from an invasion.

“Harris soothed South Korean leaders angry over new US tax credits for electric vehicles likely to disadvantage Asian automakers, while needling the country’s new president over gender inequities.”

Publicly calling an ally out is not needling. Nor is it diplomatic. Nor is it necessary. Heck, according to Kamala, America has gender inequities.

A press that relentlessly mocked Dan Quayle for misspelling potato ignores Kamala’s insult to an ally — and even calls it deft diplomacy.

The question is, who is dumber: Kamala or the clowns covering her?
